On New Years day we launched a brand new site with a brand new post. For all those who have not seen it yet, visit www.shadetreefilms.net. This old blog will soon be gone. Here is our fresh off the press post anyways...
Meet Edmund. He enjoys reading a good book by the fire, long walks down the beach, whisking up pecan pies…
Here is the real scoop on Mr. Edmund: He hates fruit but can’t get enough of the “purple drink” (otherwise known as grape soda) Unbeknownst to his parents, he’s a wicked skater Word on the street is, Edmund whips up a mean bacon cheeseburger (mmmmmm!) And he used to roll a stealth black 1990 Ford Escort hatchback…need we say more?
Well I had to go in this morning and pay my dues to the wonderful DMV. Because of their impeccable reputation for convenient service, I decided to take my laptop along for the journey. While sitting there awaiting my turn to stand up and approach the desk, I put together a little nibble of a film for you all as you patiently await the real premiere of this beast in January after Brandon and Kristin's wedding.
Well since we launched the new blog at the beginning of November, we have been working at beefing it up in many ways. Over the next few weeks you will see a total remodel of the blog in order to portray our style and our personalities even more. In the process we will give you little sneak peeks at what we are up to. Stick around and we will try to give you something weekly to feed your hungry little appetites. We love our followers, so dont be afraid to leave us the love.
In preparation for Kristin and Brandon's wedding in January, we took them out in good old Calimesa. Where is that you say, well its nestled right off the 10 freeway in between...um who cares. Kristin and Brandon have such a cool wedding planned with a very natural organic feel. So to fit their style we decided to shoot their love story out in the middle of a cattle field. Yes, it is true...we hefted an orange chair over barbed wire fencing and sat it in the middle of a feild of cow pies. Nothing more magical!! This little beauty premiers late january but these pics are a little sneak peek. Enjoy.
Orange chair $10, old picture on a stump $2, Kristin cracking up...Priceless!
This is my first personal post...hope you enjoy. Well, this is my little guy Romney Allen. He came to us on Nov. 16th and he is such a sweet little angel. Weighing in at 6lbs 4oz, 19 3/4 inches. Many of our friends can't believe it when we say that he hardly ever cries and sleeps about 5-6 hours soundly through the night. It is so exciting to watch him grow day by day. We love this little stud! The best gift the wife and I have ever received are these pics from our great friends, Roger and Lyndzee from EPLove.net. You can see more on their blog. Thanks Roger and Lyndzee, these are amazing!!
Kaitlin and Travis are what we call Awesome Sauce. They were refered to us from two of our great freinds, Roger from EPLOVE.net and also Brady from PropsFX.com. Kaitlin and Travis are such an animated ball of expression and it was such a joy being with the entire group. We have to give Kaitlin's father the award for "The Best Speech Ever"...sorry dad's, he was just that good. Below are some pics from the photographers, Roger and Lyndzee from EPLove.net
The 4th and final day of the trip was my favorite. We went trough the swamps of the mississippi looking for some gators. The day was topped of with bull riding, dancing and the best food I have every had at Nola's.
Well I set off for a four day adventure with the Mammoth Men as they discovered what the South was all about. You will not find a more fun loving group of guys all on one bus. We started the Mancation in Nasville TN. Not much happened Day 1 since we were all ariviving at different times but I had to post a little something for you all.
Justin and Michelle found out about us from a freind who was a best man in another wedding we filmed last summer. Without every meeting or even speaking on the phone, they booked us. That's love. 10 months later we met in person at their wedding in Northern California at the Vina Robles Winery...AMAZING. These two are firecrackers of emotion. Romney and I had such a blast being with this group of fun lovin' crazy cats.
Judy and Randy were awesome from the moment we met them. The day of the wedding we discovered quickly where they got their awesomeness, their entire family and bridal party...what an amazing group. Judy's mom kept bringing us food while we were trying to edit in the morning...she makes killer egg rolls!! Judy and Randy have a genuine love and sweetness about them that we believe you can see from this film. Enjoy!
